Ensemble Activities

Young European Strings School of Music advocates for ensemble playing from a young age to further children's musical development.

Dublin String Instrument School

Young children start their ensemble playing at YES one year after commencing lessons (or as soon as they are able to read music) by joining the Junior Orchestra. After five or more years of training, students will graduate to the Intermediate Orchestra. Advanced students will be invited to join the Young European Strings Chamber Orchestra (YESCO), which, to date, has released three studio albums and has toured extensively throughout Europe.

Members of the YES Junior Orchestra range in age from four to six years. The students will have been studying music for one year before joining the Junior Orchestra or they may join sooner if they are able to read music. The Junior Orchestra rehearses once a week for half an hour.
