Intermediate Orchestra wins first prize in the Shine competition
The YES Intermediate Orchestra has won the first prize in the orchestra category of the Shine Music Competition, where they premiered Raymond Deane's "Baroque Sessions", a work commissioned specifically by Young European Strings and dedicated to Maria Kelemen, its director.
Moreover, the following YES students achieved outstanding results: Sophia Hickey won the First Prize in the under 8 years violin category; Mia Hickey won the First Prize in the under 11 years category of violin; Aidan and Caitriona Clery won the First Prize in the Duet Category.
